History
Paul Harrison and a former business partner opened Placer West Insurance Services in Lincoln in January 2002. Since its opening, Placer West Insurance Services has continued to grow. Prior to opening Placer West Insurance Services, Paul owned and operated Sierra Foothills Insurance Services and has accumulated nearly 20 years of experience.

Placer West Insurance Services specializes in Medicare, Health, Life and both Personal & Commercial policies.
During Paul’s change from Sierra Foothills Insurance to Placer West Insurance he hired Cynthia Elkins as the property casualty agent and they work together to get their clients the best home owners and auto policies around. In addition, they sell and maintain the commercial lines policies, including General Liability and Workers Compensation insurance. Years ago Esmeralda Guzman, our Customer Service Representative came to work at Placer West as a Lincoln High School ROP student and is able to help our Spanish speaking clients . Diana Mallory and Gloria Langley share the Receptionist responsibilities and in assisting the agents in every way possible. Judy Rezendes is the Office Manager/Bookkeeper and comes with a long background of bookkeeping in insurance sales. Eva Williams works side by side with Paul to manage the Health Insurance division of the business. Eva, with 20+ years of extensive knowledge of health benefits is a valued asset to Placer West.

HSA Contribution Limits
Please be aware of the 2016 annual HSA contribution limits listed below.
- $3,350* - Maximum HSA Annual Contribution Limit (Self-only)
- $6,650* - Maximum HSA Annual Contribution Limit (Family)
- $1,000 - HSA Catch-up Contribution Limit
- $1,300 - Minimum HDHP Annual Deductible (Self-only)
- $2,600 - Minimum HDHP Annual Deductible (Family)
- $6,450 - Maximum HDHP Annual Out-of-pocket (Self-only)
- $12,900 - Maximum HDHP Annual Out-of-pocket (Family) *For purposes of the full contribution rule an employee is treated as being eligible for the entire calendar year as long as he or she is eligible as of December 1 of that calendar year and continues eligibility throughout the following year. However, failure to maintain eligibility during the "testing period" will result in adverse tax consequences (including an additional excise tax). The testing period begins in December of the year in which the employee becomes eligible and ends the last day of December of the following year.
